What to put down to keep grass and weeds from growing - Knowledgebase Question

What is the trick to keeping grass and weeds from growing in a flower bed? Isn't there some sort of fibrious mat or somtheing that could be laid down?

There is, indeed. You are looking for a weed barrier or landscape fabric. It keeps weeds from sprouting. You can either empty the bed of plants and lay the weed barrier over the soil and cut X's or holes for your plants or you can cut the weed barrier into strips to place between your plants. Either way, your flower bed will be weed free for many years. Enjoy your garden!
