Is Periwinkle an annual or a perennial? I was removing my old periwinkle plants when I noticed the roots were not dead and the stems were still green inside. |
Periwinkle (Vinca) is a perennial plant, but is easily damaged by frost. Just cut back the dead stems and new stems will grow from the roots. New leaves should appear along the stems that are stil alive. Vinca will self-sow readily, so expect the bed where it's planted to eventually be full of new plants. |
