My tomato leafs have a white to tan blotting on them. What causes this?

If the affected leaves are the uppermost on the plant, I think they are showing signs of sunscald. This can happen when plants are not accustomed to hot sunshine, or when there is vigorous new growth that grows too quickly. Sunscald won't harm your entire plant, just a few leaves.
