After a time, my daffodils stop flowering. Should I be periodically digging the bulbs up and separating them?

Daffodils will fail to bloom if they are overcrowded or if you remove the foliage before it ripens (the leaves transport energy to the bulbs for the next year's floral display). Wait until the foliage dies down and then dig and divide your bulbs to give them more room. And be sure to allow the foliage to die down on its own at the end of each season. Best wishes with your bulbs!
