| I just purchased a Portland Rose at home depot. I went on line to see if it is hardy in my zone (maine) zone 4&5. I find that it is hardy to zone six to nine. Should I not plant it here? will I lose it if I do? Should I just bring it back? If I keep it should I plant it differently to protect it? |
| Portland rose is not hardy in your region and unless you protect the top and the graft, you stand to lose it one of these winters. I would return the rose (it is named for Portland, Oregon, not Portland Maine. Best wishes with your garden! |
