when is the best time to water my plants (annuals and perennials)? |
Morning is best for plants. This allows the foliage to dry by mid day and will help prevent diseases. If you water late in the afternoon or at dusk the foliage can remain wet all night and that can invite disease pathogens. Water in the morning, once or twice a week depending upon weather. Be sure to thoroughly soak the soil to the roots grow deep into the soil and won't be reliant on daily short waterings. Best wishes with your plants! |
