This is my 3rd try getting an answer to see if Pieris is a suitable shrub to grow in the Houston area. Please advise. Or if the answer isn't sent to my E-mail address, how do I get a response.

Here's the answer again. Perhaps your email provider is sending the answer to the junk mail box? check and see. I'll bet you'll find three answers to your question!

Pieris prefers growing conditions similar to those of Rhododendrons and Azaleas. It may be too hot in Houston for pieris. If you decide to try anyway, plant your Japanese Andromeda in a rich, organic, moist soil with an acidic pH. Best wishes with your garden!
