The Q&A Archives: Using Miss All-American Dream' Rose as a Hedge

Question: I am considering your new "Miss All-American Dream" rose to plant as a hedge along my driveway (about 60 feet). Your catalogue states that it grows to 46" in height, but does not say how wide it spreads. How many bushes would I need and how far apart should I plant them? This is a full sun area and open to the wind. Emilie Manning Oswego, NY

Answer: I'd plant your hybrid tea rose 3 to 4 feet apart in a hedgerow, so for a 60 foot row, you'd need about 15 plants.
