The Q&A Archives: Deer and Frost

Question: I just purchased from HD Ixora, ligustrum sinensis, oleander will I have a problem with deer and frost?

Answer: Ixora is frost tender so you will need to cover the plant if frosty weather is predicted. Ligustrum and oleander are generally not attractive to deer, but if the population is high and competition for food is great, hungry deer will eat most anything!
