I have squirrel digging up the pansies that I just planted in pots outside. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

I think the squirrels are just curious to see what you put in the pots. I would simply cover over the plants and the containers with birdnetting, tucking it beneath the pots to anchor it down. Once the squirrels discover they cannot explore the soil in the pots they will move on to greener pastures. Later in the season you can remove the barries. Best wishes with your pansies!
