The Q&A Archives: topsy turvy

Question: i bought a topsy turvy and planted my tomato plant. the next morning i went to check on it and it wal all wilted. it had a biodegratable pot, so i planted that also. what did i do wrong and is it to late to bring it back. its been like that for 2 days now.

Answer: If you planted the tomato without removing the peat pot, the roots should not have been disturbed and the plant should not be suffering transplant shock, but perhaps it is. Try putting it in the shade until it recovers and be sure to water well but allow the excess water to drain from the planter. Hope it perks up soon!
