The Q&A Archives: gardenia plants

Question: my gardenia plants are 4-5 years old they are in large containers. I have always had flowers and now there are none. the leaves are medium color green were they were always a dark green. i do feed them with plant food. what would the problem be???

Answer: If you haven't fed your plants recently you can certainly do so now. I'd use an acidified fertilizer such as Miracide. You may also want to consider repotting your gardenias in fresh potting soil if they have been in the same containers and in the same potting soil for 4-5 years. Best wishes with your plants!
