The Q&A Archives: aphids

Question: what is the best way to control them in my vegetable garden? They seem to like cabbage and brussel spouts

Answer: Aphids love cabbage and brussel's sprouts! The best control is a strong stream of water from the hose or repeated sprays of insecticidal soap. Insecticidal soaps are registered for use in vegetable gardens but you need to stop applying the product several days before you harvest your veggies. Be sure to read the label and follow the directions. Best wishes with your garden!
