I live in Moab Utah and have one of the only healthy elm trees in town. The problem is that while it is dry it is also shady underneath the tree. I need something to plant on a terrace under the tree that wil tolerate shade and dry spells. Any suggestions?

Here are some plants suitable for dry shade:
Lady's Mantle, Columbine, Coral bells, Leather Leaf Viburnum, Snowberry, Oregon Grape or your native Mountain Spray.
