I bought a plant last year, not sure what its called, but it has long leaves that have white spots all over it and it is turning brown too. I know it doesn't like allot of light, so its in a north window, previously in the west window, I keep it moist but not soaked. can you help?

I think I would unpot the plant and replace the potting soil, then water thoroughly and then allow the top of the soil to dry out slightly before watering again. Since we don't know what kind of plant you are growing we can only respond to the browning leaves which are generally caused by overly wet soils. Give this a try and see if it helps. Hope so!
