I WANT TO HAVE A SMALL VEGGIE GARDEN IN POTS ON MY OPATIO. ARE THERE SOME PLANTS THAT I SHOULD NOT MIX IN THE SAME POTS? I KNOW ABOUT SWEET PEPPERS AND HOT PEPPERS. ARE THERE OTHER VARATIES THAT WULL MIX IF PLANTED TOGETHER? BARBARA |
You can mix and match your veggies without worrying about any of them bothering each other. The problem comes if you decide to collect and save the seeds from these plants. They will be cross pollinated and will not grow true - as in your sweet and hot peppers, or squash or tomatoes. So as long as you start with fresh seeds each year (or if you purchase starter plants) you can plant your veggies right next to one another and they will develop correctly as labeled. |
