The Q&A Archives: light green grass

Question: I have been feeding my lawn with scotts products yet i have light green grass growing in patches which tend to get larger each year. they become darker by summer .

Answer: You might want to have your soil tested. If the pH is too low or too high, the fertilizer you are applying may not be availabale to the roots of the grass. Or, the light green color could indicate a need for iron. A soil test will provide you with the information you need to decide whether or not to apply iron to your turf.
