The Q&A Archives: manure

Question: Hello,

I will like to know if any type of manure works for the garden.

Answer: As long as the manure is from horses, cows or chickens, and as long as it is aged, you can use it in the garden. Fresh manure is too hot (too much urea) to be used in a garden so if you have fresh manure, spread it out so excess urea can leach out with rains or water from the hose. Good luck with your garden.
