We have two small Alberta Pine shrubs that really need more sun to survive and grow. How can we safely transplant now? We live in Northern New Jersey - Montvale, NJ Thank You. |
Either spring or fall are good times to dig and transplant landscape trees and shrubs so I think you can do it without problem now. To make digging easier, thoroughly soak the soil the day before the planned move. Try to remove the entire rootmass to lessen transplant shock and be sure to plant them at the same soil level as they were growing before. After installing them in their new homes, water them well to help settle the soil. Best wishes with the move! |
