| Eastern tent caterpillars can build nests in crabapple trees and the best control is the botanical Bt (sold as Dipel). This product targets only caterpillars and the pests have to consume it for it to be effective so expect to see additional damage. You can remove the nests by hand and then spray your tree for best control. Be sure to follow label directions for application rates and reapplication requirements. Good luck with your tree! |
