I am looking for a tree that is good for my climate, in partial to full shade that I can plant next to my house between my garage and sidewalk. I would not like it taller than 10 feet or the roots to cause any future damage to my foundation. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you!!!

Pagoda Dogwood (Cornus alternifolia) is a Wisconsin native and grows to almost 15' at maturity. You can prune to keep it smaller but it seems to be the best choice given the shade and your harsh winter weather. Hope it works in your landscape.
