I have what I believe to be a thriving german chamomile plant in our garden which is 2-3 years old. Is it possible that what is normally classified as an annual could be perennial in our Maritime climate or am I mistaken and have some form of Roman chamomile, which we do have as a low growing ground cover?

Chammomile is an evergreen perennial that grows in full sun to partial shade. Varieties grow from 3" to 12" inches high, some are upright and some form a low groundcover, but all are perennial herbs.
