The best type of grass seed will be the same grasses as are in your sod. I don't know which grasses those might be but you can dig up a representative slice of your sod and take it to your local cooperative extension office for identification. Or, you can try to match the blades of the grass to the pictures on the grass seed packages. The closer you can match the grasses, the better your lawn will look. Feed your lawn with a 3-1-2 ratio of NPK, such as a 21-7-14. April is a good time to fertilize. Good luck with your lawn!
