Why does hibiscus drop buds before they bloom? It gets good light & is watered when top soil is dry.

Sometimes hibiscus produces more buds than they can support, so the buds dry up and fall off. More often, the plant has been subjected to drafts, or is under watered. Give your plant a minimum temperature of 55F degrees at night and average household temperatures during the day. Supply bright light, but not direct sunlight, keep the potting soil moist at all times, and keep the plant out of drafts.
