Vegetables transplanting - Knowledgebase Question

I tried Tomatoes from seed and they started to grow great. then when I transplanted them from one peat moss pot leaving it in to another they died? Why? and the few that have lived have stopped growing?

I'm really stumped. Usually transplanting provides more root room and lots of new growth. Did you remove the peat pot? I know they are supposed to biodegrade but the tender roots on your tomato plants may not have had the energy to push through to new soil. I'd peel away the peat pots or not use them at all next time, instead planting in plastic pots so you can slide them out and place them in new pots. Wish I had better news for you!
