I have five grapefruit trees which I started from seeds 8 years ago. I would like to locate a source of "scions" which I could graft on to these. My trees are healthy but have never flowered, though someone told me that it could take 7 -15 years for a grapefruit tree to "mature".

I would try Four Winds Growers, Box 3538, Mission San Jose District, Fremont, CA 94539, ph# 510-656-2591. They sell dwarf citrus, including several varieties of grapefruit. They may be able to give you some tips on grafting too. It's likely that dwarf trees will come into production sooner than the seedling trees you are growing--so you are on the right track with grafting.
