The flower bed in my front yard doesn't start to get sun exposure until early afternoon, but stays in the sun all afternoon and into the evening. is it better to use part or full sun requiring plants?

Since the bed gets afternoon sun, choose sun loving plants. Afternoon sunshine is much stronger than morning sun so the plants you put in the bed should be tolerant of full sunshine. Enjoy your garden.
