The Q&A Archives: Brown rhododendrons

Question: I have two white rhododendrons in my front yard (left by the previous homeowner). They get full sun all day but over the winter & in late summer (when it's very hot) the leaves turn brown and the plant looks dead. Should I trim away dead foliage? How can I help it grow more healthy? Are they getting too much sun in this location? If so, can they be transplanted? Thanks!
