I want evergreens to grow very quickly. What ph should the soil be? Also what kind of fertilizer or substance(iron?) do evergreens like? I need to get my evergreens growing.

Arborvitaes and Leyland Cypresses are fast growing and both do well in your native soil so you won't need to amend the pH. All you need to do is plant them and water them deeply once each week. The Leyland Cypress will grow 3-4 feet a year once the roots are established. Most evergreens will be happy with an annual application of an 8-8-8- fertilizer.
