Question: What is the thinking by gardening experts about the wisdom of whether or not to cut seed heads off onion and garlic to give strength to the bulbs?

Answer: Seed heads and stalks should be cut off as soon as they appear or the plant's energy will be diverted from developing bulbs to producing flowers and seeds.
