The Q&A Archives: fertilizer

Question: I am new at gardening but love to do it. I am planting flowers already blooming and I heard I should fertilizer them? If so what should I use and when should I fertilize them? Thanks, you guys are awesome! Thanks.

Answer: Give your new plants a few weeks to become established in the garden and then either feed by side dressing with a granular fertilizer (20-20-20) or feed them with a liquid ferilizer from an attachment to your hose. You should only need to feed once during the growing season to keep them looking nice. Glad you like the site and the help we can provide!
