I have violas in my garden beds that I did not plant. They are very invasive and are crowding my pernennials. It is difficult to pull them out and get rid of all the roots. How can I get rid of them without killing my perennials. |
Sounds like wild violets and there is really no way to kill them off without digging them up, roots and all. They grow from bulbs which store energy so even if you kill off the tops of the plants, the bulbous roots have plenty of energy to sprout new tops. Sorry there's no better solution than to dig them out. |
