I purchased two kind of caladiums from Homedepot in March and started them inside all of one variety frieda hemple are doing beautifully while the carolyn whorton are doing poorly only two out of the 15 are the same size as the frieda. All planted in soiless mix kept inside under lights. Any idea what happened? Just a bad batch of bulbs? thanks

Bulbs are like children - no two are alike, although they all have similar features. Sounds like Frieda Hemple is more vigorous than Carolyn Whorton. If you take them outdoors they may perk up - wait until the weather warms, though!
