English laurels are so vigorous that sometimes insect and disease controls are easiest if you simply cut your plant down to remove the damaged parts and remove them from the garden. All new growth should be green and healthy. If you remember to prune yours back every spring the shrub will grow thick and dense, with healthy new leaves. Good luck with your laurel.
