| I continue to try growing the elementry school project the radish. I have bulb inhandment ROCK PHOSPHATE 0-3-0 which the nursery guaranteed success only to still get tall leggy no bulb crop. I had my soil annalized and nothing bad. It is made of Miracle grow potting soil, peat moss, and garden soil with sand and compost. This is my 3rd year of trying only to get a handful from a package 2mo growin |
| All top and little or no bulb growth is commonly caused by too much shade, seeding too thickly or planting in soils that have too much nitrogen and too little potassium. Radish plants need just the opposite, which is low nitrogen and high potassium (which encourages root growth). They grow best in cool weather so that might contribute to the problem if you are trying to grow them in the summer months. Hope this information helps! |
