What kind of tree would you recomend that is drought tolerant, takes clay soil and up to 105F summer heat? Our yard is large and shadeless!

How about a fruitless mulberry (fast growing, wonderful shade tree and great for tree houses) or a catalpa tree. Both grow well in your region and both are sturdy enough for climbing and have broad canopies for lots of shade. Best of all the leaves are large and easy to rake!
