Trees to Attract Birds - Knowledgebase Question

we are making an area where we are hoping that birds can come and enjoy. we currently have two small pine tress(2ft tall) and are looking for a couple more evergreens that will grow fast to give the birds some protection over the winter.What are some suggestions?

I think hollies are good trees to attract birds. They love the red berries and the protection the dense foliage provides. Choose two - a male and a female - so that the female can develop berries. Most are tagged so look for pairs such as China Girl and China Boy or Blue Prince and Blue Princess. You'll find lots of choices at your garden center.
