How can I get the squirrels to stop digging up my flower bed under my trees? I have tried Red Pepper Flakes & Dried Blood. They seem to be immune. They don't like the dried blood, but I don't want to keep putting that under the tree around the flowers. Do you have any other suggestions as to what I can use to discourage them?

I wish there were an easy answer to your question. Gardeners everywhere are experiencing the same problems and there simply is no one solution that works for everyone. You can try deterrents such as Ropel in your garden, or you can cover the entire garden or individual plants with birdnetting to keep them from digging and munching your plants. Not a very pretty solution but it might be temporary. Others have reported that once the critter cannot get to the plants they move on to greener pastures. Let's hope they do the same for you!
