I live in northern Minnesota. As winter is now on its way out and spring is here, I have noticed my 4 ft tall evergreen trees aligning my property are half dead (red needles now falling off) on half of each tree. Some have called it |
Cold winter winds can certainly dessicate foliage and that's what it sounds like to me. You can try pruning your evergreens back to live plant material but there is no guarantee that they will resprout and replace the dead foliage and branches. I'd prune off the reddish needles and see if it doesn't grow new foliage. I hope it does! If not, you may have to replace your evergreens. |
