The Q&A Archives: Winter burned trees?

Question: I live in northern Minnesota. As winter is now on its way out and spring is here, I have noticed my 4 ft tall evergreen trees aligning my property are half dead (red needles now falling off) on half of each tree. Some have called it "winterburn". They are still partially green on one side. Will the trees survive? What can I do to help?
