Please tell us if there is a shrub or bush that looks very much like an angel's trumpet/moonflower?

Datura (Brugmansia) is a shrub, native to Peru, that has very fragrant, trumpet-shaped flowers in the summertime. It is frost-tender, so it may not grow well in your area. A better choice is Weigela, with it's profuse display of funnel-shaped flowers each spring. There are several cultivars, in red, rose, purple or yellow flowers, some with variegated foliage.
