I have a VERY shady front and back yard. I live in North Georgia. I do get morning light and mostly shade in the evening. Is there anything that I can do to get grass to grow in my yard?

Turfgrass really requires sunshine in order to grow well so any turf you plant in a shady area will need to be reseeded or resodded every few years. Tall fescue sod is moderately drought and shade tolerant and performs well throughout Georgia. It is adapted to a wide range of soil conditions so it might be the best variety for your landscape. Or, you may want to consider planting and evergreen groundcover instead. Best wishes with your landscape.
