I'm planning a European Flower garden - anyone there to help me? Which flowers would be best in Zone 4 that would follow my European theme?

The term European Garden isn't very descriptive so I don't know what you have in mind as far as a theme, but the following plants grow well in zone 4:
Aster, Bleeding Heart (Dicentra spectabilis), Bleeding Heart (Dicentra"Luxuriant"),
Blue Mallow (Malva sylvestris), Candytuft (Iberis sempervirens), Checkerbloom (Sidalcea malvaeflora), Cranesbill (Geranium sylvaticum), Creeping Moss Phlox (Phlox subulata), Clustered Bellflower (Campanula glomerata), Columbine (Aquilegia), Coneflowers (Echinacea Purpurea), Coreopsis, Creeping Baby's Breath (Gypsophila repens), Cupid's Dart (Catananche caerulea), Daylilies, Dianthus "Arctic Fire", Dianthus/Cheddar Pinks (dianthus gratianapolitanus), Delphinium, Foxglove (Digitalis Purpurea), Flax, Gaillardia, Garden Phlox (Phlox paniculata), Harebells (Campanula Carpatica), Iris (Iris Pumila), Jacob's Ladder (Polemonium caeruleum),
Jupiter's Beard (Centranthus Ruber), Lavender (Lavandula), Liatris /Gayfeather (Liatris spicata), Lilac, Lupines (Lupinus), Mallow, Monkshood (Aconitum), Obedient Plant (Physostegia virginiana), Oriental Lilies, Oriental Poppy (Papaver Orientale), Painted Daisy (Pyrethrum chrysanthemum coccineum), (Pyrethrum Tanacetum coccineum), Peach-Leafed Bellflower (Campanula persicifolia), Pincushion Flower (Scabiosa columbaria), Peony (Paeonia lactiflora), Periwinkle (Vinca minor),
Primrose (Primula), Purple Rock Cress (Aubrieta Hendersoni), Rose, Salvia, white, pink & purple (Salvia nemerosa), Sea Pink or Thrift (Armeria maritima), Sedum (Sedum spurium), Shasta Daisy (Chrysanthemum x superbum), Soapwort,
Speedwell (Veronica Gentianoides), Spiderwort (Tradescantia), Yarrow (Achillea millefolium), Yarrow (Achillea siberica).
