how do you sow the seeds of a snapdragon. Is it the spent flower that holds the seed or do they just fall from the plant?

When the flower petals fall off you will see a little pod develop. It will swell and then turn a tannish color. Seeds are inside this little round pod. You can collect them and sow them directly in the garden this fall or you can just leave the pods alone and the seeds will spill onto the soil. Snapdragons grow best in cool weather so if you let the seeds fall onto the soil they will just sit there until this fall and then they will sprout.
