the top of my honeylocust sapling broke off. There is only a few leaves leafs left on top. What can i do to keep it heathy. |
I'm not sure how to advise you. If the top of the tree broke off the highest branch may turn upwards over the years and become a new central leader. Or, there may be a latent bud on the remaining top of the tree which might grow an upright shoot and become the new central leader. Without being able to physically look at the tree, I don't know which will happen. Since the honeylocust is just a sapling, perhaps you will want to replace it with a healthy new specimen so you can avoid trouble down the line. Wish I had more ideas for you! |
