Some of my succulents planted outside in pots are looking wrinkled and drying up underneath. Are they not getting enough water?

It does sound like your succulents are not getting enough water. While they can store water in their fleshy stems, succulents still need plenty of water in the hot, summer months. Water thoroughly and let the soil dry out between waterings, but it does not need to remain dry for several days.

Echeveria succulents, such as Hens and chicks, need more water and fertilizer and a richer soil than other succulents. Good luck.
