Round Up is a contact vegetation killer and it is transported through the vascular system to the roots of the plants it is sprayed on. Usually the entire plant, roots and all die. If you sprayed this herbicide on your lawn, the dead areas will probably not resprout, but any seeds in the soil might. I don't know how much of your lawn is affected so I don't know what to suggest as a remedy. Best wishes with your lawn.
