Lycianthes rantonnei, the Paraguay Nightshade is a 6'-8' foot shrub, but can be staked into a tree form. It can also be allowed to sprawl as a ground cover. Fast growing, it has bright green leaves to 4 inches long, and violet blue, yellow-centered one-inch wide flowers throughout the warm months. The plant is native to China.
