Zoysia doesn't need a lot of fertilizer. You can use a slow release 1-2-1 ratio of NPK or you can simply use Milorganite, which is a slow release in approximately the right amounts of nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium for zoysia grass. If you overfertilize zoysia it will develop too much thatch so use only in amounts as recommended on the package label.
