Last year I planted annuals around a tree that's in front of my home. Squirrels and Rabits destroyed the plants. Is there anything I can do to keep them away from the flowers.

I know how disappointing it is for wildlife to destroy a garden! There are some deterrents available - Ropel and Deer Away - that work for some gardeners. You might try spraying them on your plants. Or, you can place a physical barrier. I've used hardware cloth or chicken wire cages to keep the pesky critters out of the garden. Wish I had more ideas for you.
